The name of the petitioner is Harishankar Jain, who has claimed to have huge evidence regarding Qutub Minar. This dispute is not only about Qutub Minar but 24000 square feet of land attached to the complex of Qutub Minar, Alai Darwaza built by Alauddin on this 24000 square feet of land, Qutub Minar was built by Qutubuddin Aibak and Qutub ul Islam Mosque and Iltutmish The tomb etc. is located.

Is Qutub Minar a Vishnu pillar? After all, what is the claim of the petitioner:-

Before independence in India, the Archaeological Survey of India had surveyed the complex of Qutub Minar thrice. Dharamvir Sharma, former regional director of the Archaeological Survey of India, says that Qutub Minar was the first Vishnu pillar, which was probably built by Chandragupta Vikramaditya, the ruler of the Gupta dynasty, in the fifth century.

It was built to study the sun, time and constellations. That is why the inclination of Qutub Minar is up to 25 inches and its height is 73 meters. The survey also said that it is a Hindu minaret. During the survey of 1871, British survey engineer J. D. Megler had said four main things in his report, from which it appears that earlier there used to be 27 Hindu and Jain temples.

Those 4 things are as follows:-

1. Samvat 259 is written on the left wall of Qutub Minar, from which it appears that this wall has been made in the Gupta period.

2. On the walls there are figures of lotus flowers, bells and triangles, which are related to Hindu deities.

3. During the excavation in 1871, two idols of Lakshmi Ji were also found in this complex.

4. He also told that the Arab explorer Ibn Battuta believed that there used to be 27 Hindu and Jain temples on the premises of Qutub Minar, which have been demolished and built into the mosque.

What is the history of Qutub Minar:-

As far as we have read in our school books Qutub Minar was started to be built in 1202 by the founder ruler of the slave dynasty, Qutbuddin Aibak. After Qutbuddin Aibak, his slave ruler Iltutmish got three more storeys of Qutub Minar constructed. And after that, the fifth floor was built by the ruler of the Tughlaq dynasty, Firoz Shah Tughlaq. The construction of the Qutbul Islam Mosque was first started in this complex by Qutbuddin Aibak in 1192 AD, which was completed in 1198 AD. Historians believe that the Ya Masjid was built from the ruins of the 27 Hindu and Jain temples located there and their stones and remains. And this process continued in Qutub Minar, Alai Darwaza, which was built by Alauddin Khilji and all the temples established there were demolished.

Some historians say that the city of Lalkot was founded by Raja Anangpal Tomar in the 11th century, which was an older city than Delhi and it is today's Delhi. During that time the entire complex of Qutub Minar came within the scope of the Lakota area. In the 12th century, Rajput king
Prithviraj Chauhan ruled Delhi and during his reign, the city of Lalpur expanded further. Qila Rai Pidhaura was also built in the 12th century during the time of Prithviraj Chauhan, which is located only 5 kilometres from Qutub Minar. At the end of the 12th century, Prithviraj Chauhan was defeated by Mohammad Ghori in the battle of Tarain in 1192 and from here the arrival of Arabs started in India and you can say that the expansion and rule of Muslims started.

It is believed that when Muhammad Ghori himself returned to Arabia after giving the rule of Delhi to Qutubuddin Aibak, the slave of Muhammad Ghori, Qutubuddin Aibak wanted to increase Muslim supremacy in India. And during that time he started building mosques all over India so that many people could be taught the religion and converted into Muslims. During that time he did not have many resources for the development of these mosques, so he passed an order to demolish the temples and build the mosques using the same stone and rubble.

Qutbuddin Aibak Iltutmish Alauddin Khilji and all other Muslim rulers are believed to have shown a sense of cruelty against the Hindus and demolished the temple to keep their expansion.

These were some historical things related to Qutub Minar.

Right now the court has postponed this matter till the next hearing, we will all be waiting for further court action and decision.

Thank you
